Montserrat Gallery Summer Pop-up 3: Xubdued Light

Xubdued Light is a series of screenings, curated by Ethan Berry, of more than 20 films representing the active experimental film community in Boston.  Featuring a variety of films from the AgX Boston Film Collective including work in super-8, 16 mm silent and sound, digital video and projection/performance.  

Works by: Kimberly Forero-Arnias, Luis Arnias, Susan DeLeo, Stefan Grabowski, Brittany Gravely, Saul Levine, Youjin Moon, Mariya Nikiforova, Luther Price, Kathryn Ramey, Kevin Rice, Laura Ryan, Joe Shepard, Jeff Silva, Robert Todd, Paul Turano, Douglas Urbank.

Balagan Program Under 8-Feet of Snow

Under 8-Feet of Snow: Films from Boston and Providence, a program curated by Stefan Grabowski of Balagan, screens in Germany and France. First, March 6th at the Schalten und Walten gallery in Cologne. Second, March 12th at Kunstraum t27 gallery in Berlin, with the artist-run lab, LaborBerlin, serving as contact. Third, March 27 at l'Etna film lab in the Paris suburb, Montreuil. Artists include Kimberly Forero-Arnias, Brittany Gravely, Saul Levine, Xander Marro, Matt McWilliams, Robert Todd and Douglas Urbank.

Recycled Cinema at the Brattle Theatre

Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at 7:00 PM at the Brattle Theatre, Crows & Sparrows in partnership with the experimental screening series Balagan presents a program that takes RECYCLED as its point of departure. The focus is on works from filmmakers who explore innovative formal approaches in their reconstructions of place and memory.  My film "Selves No.2 (LT13)" is included.
